Microsoft Windows has a lot of useful features, some of which you use every day, such as Explorer, Browser, Notepad and so on. However, there are also some features that you may not have used so far, such as Internet Explorer 11, PowerShell 2.0, Internet Information Services and even Windows Media Player.

5. Internet Print Client

As its name suggests, this feature allows you to print documents over the Internet through a local network (LAN) or using the IPP protocol, but if you only use printers connected to the computer, then it is not useful.

6. Windows Fax and Scan

Enabling this feature on a Windows computer will allow you to use a fax or scanning device connected to the PC. If you do not use either of these devices, turn this feature off.

7. Remote Differential Compression API Support

So far, Microsoft has introduced this feature for Windows Server 2003 R2, which helps to improve the way users can better manage their system servers. Some work programs are designed to use this feature for remote data access and management over a network, such as through a remote desktop connection, so if you don't use Windows Server or any of these types of remote information access, please disable it.

8. Windows PowerShell 2.0

You may think that Windows PowerShell 2.0 is the latest version of PowerShell in Windows, but it is not.The latest version of PowerShell is 5.0, so PowerShell 2.0 is useless and you should disable it as soon as possible.

9. Windows Process Activation Service

If you have no plans to run a web-based server, turn off this Windows Process Activation Service, also known as Internet Information Services (IIS) , which helps developers to write applications and build their projects.If you are a regular Windows user, turn it off.

10. Working Folder Client

This feature in Windows allows you to access and work with any linked devices, such as other computers, over the network, but there's no reason to keep this feature if you're using a Windows computer alone at home.

11. XPS Service and XPS Viewer

XPS is a type of document designed by Microsoft to replace Adobe's PDF.XPS Services and XPS Viewer are features that allow users to create, print, and preview XPS documents in your computer. If you don't have any plans to use them, disable them.
